Sight And Sound Magazine Front Cover Analysis

The Third magazine I will be analysing is SIGHT & SOUND.

SIGHT & SOUND is a British magazine which is an independent film magazine and focuses on independent and British films. The Masthead doesn't really stick out, it is just plain and simple suggesting that it targets lower budget films. The dominant image is Danny Boyle, who is a  English film director  and is known for his work on films such as Shallow Grave, Slumdog Millionaire, 28 Days Later etc. Most people wont really recognise him because he is a director and people only know and follow actors and actresses. The colour theme is it is dull and does not offer much emotion which is proably because it wants to attract a more mature, intelligent audience The cover lines is Carlos Reygadas, John Boorman and Ken Loach who again are not really familiar to the pubic eye as they are all film directors, which further shows that is target audience is for older people.
